.......alive.....please

This is my "mug" shot from back in 1960.  It seems that my friend Jerry was having a difficult time with a neighbor.  They had a fight, which I and a friend Steve G (another Steve) witnessed.  They arrested Jerry.  That night we came forward as witnesses.  Next thing I know, we're arrested too!  We didn't do a thing (I swear!)  We spent the night in jail!  It was so difficult to prove that we didn't do anything, that joining the Navy wound up being the easiest way out.

It wasn't until many years later that I realized that this single event is what caused me to miss the Viet-Nam war altogether and probably contributed greatly to me being alive right now!!  Oh yeah, thanks Jerry!

When I got married (the second time) my next door neighbor turned out to be a police photographer.  He was the guy who went to crime scenes and took pictures of the dead people and stuff like that.  I actually saw a never-published picture, taken in the morgue, of John Lennon's bullet-riddled body.  Anyway, he got me and my friends (who were arrested with me) copies of our mug shots right out of the police files!  My copy has suffered a bit over the years.  But I was still kinda' cute, though, wasn't I?  Not at all like the cold-blooded killer they portrayed me as in the media!!  But I'll show them.  No two-bit jail like that could ever hold m........uhh, sorry, I got carried away

I'm just trying to keep a family tradition alive - here's my Father
